Sri Lanka

By Peter Petersen

The beetle Prionomma atratum hosts the Indian oli-banum plant Boswellia serrata which produces Indian frankincense.

This small stream in the rainforest reserve in Kottawa, Sri Lanka is the natural habitat of Belontia signata, Rasbora wilpita, Pethia nigrofasciata, Clarias nebulosus, Laubuca insularis, Rasboroides vaterifloris among others.

In this swamp I found the natural habitat of the ricefish Oryzias melastigma.
