In April the surface is full of Common Roach (Rutilus rutilus) feeding on the algae which is released from the bottom during spring. This species is called: Skalle in Danish.

The Common Roach (Rutilus rutilus) has a silver side and pale red fins. The body is slender.

The European Starling (Sturnus vulgaris) shines in a rainbow of colors in sunlight. This species is called: Stær in Danish.

This is the same European Starling (Sturnus vulgaris) in another angle. Notice how the colors and pattern changed rapidly. Amazing bird!
